Training

Granite Ledge Kennels offers a full range of training options from basic obedience training to advanced hunt training.

All of our prices include boarding.
Vaccination shots must be up-to-date.
All dogs must be vaccinated against Bordetella. Please bring your pet's complete shot record along with you.

A $350 non-refundable deposit to hold a training spot for your dog is required. The balance is due at the time of check out. There is an additional charge for live birds used exclusively for your dog, approximately $150-$175.

Before your dog goes home Chris will provide you with individual instruction on the proper training techniques and how to handle your newly trained dog.

	Retriever Training The Retriever training program is designed for all breeds of hunting dogs. The program is designed as follows: Program A - four week stay Basic Obedience Introduction to Gun Fire Introduction to Birds Upland Bird Work Retrieves From Land and Water Program B - eight to twelve week stay All Items in Program A Force Breaking Steady to Shot Retrieve through Decoys The cost of retriever training is $700 for four weeks.
	Upland Bird Training The Upland Bird training program is designed for all breeds of hunting dogs. The program is designed as follows: Program A - four week stay Basic Obedience Introduction to Gun Fire Introduction of Birds Program B - eight to twelve week stay All Items in Program A Steady to Shot Steady to Flush The cost of retriever training is $700 for four weeks.
	Obedience Training The obedience program is designed for all breeds of dogs. This training covers the following commands: Sit Stay Come Heel This program also includes Correction Training for jumping, running, barking, etc. The cost for obedience training is $700 for four weeks of training.
	Puppy Training The puppy training program is for puppies from 7 weeks to 16 weeks and covers: Crate training Introduction to gunfire Introduction to birds Work on retrieving skills The cost for puppy training is $700 for four weeks of training and includes birds.
